Omo Valley Travel Tips

  • Please apply for your E visa at list a week in advance, it will take 3 working days or more. There is no Visa on arrival at the moment.
  • There are 5 weekly flights from Addis – Jinka – Addis (ADD – BCO – ADD). There is no flight on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Check local flight schedule
  • The Omo Valley is Malaria endemic region, visitors are recommended to take antimalarial medicines such as Malarone or Mefloquine. Please use mosquito repellant cream or spray if you don’t want to take the prophylaxis medication.
  • We can book your domestic flights upon your request with up to 50% discount fare
  • It is illegal to bring large binoculars in Ethiopia
  • The bull jumping ceremony costs $20 per person and Evangadi Dancing Ceremony costs $11 USD per person. It is not always available and can’t be arranged for tourists.
  • This is a private package, you will not be joined by others. You will have your private 4WD,guide and local guides.
