Omo Valley Photography Tour Itinerary
Your guide will meet you at Jinka airport and continue on a 70 km drive on a gravel road to a remote village of the Mursi tribe to spend the night with the Mursi people.
Overnight: Camping in Mursi village
After doing photography in the morning, you will continue on a 160km drive to Banna tribe village to spend the night with the Banna people.
Overnight: Camping at Banna village
In the morning, you will explore the Banna tribe village and continue to Turmi. In the late afternoon, you will visit the Hamar tribe village and have an authentic experience with the Hamar people.
Overnight: Paradise Lodge Turmi
Drive 80km to Duss village which is the largest village of the Kara people. The Kara tribe is famous for intricate face and body painting. You will have a genuine time with the beautiful Kara (Karo) tribe.
Overnight: Camping at Karo Duss Village
Drive 150 km to Omo Rate via Kangaten town of the Nyangatom tribe. On the way, you will visit the Nyangatom tribe in a village near Kangaten. After lunch in Kangaten, continue the 95km drive to a Dassanech tribal village near Omo Rate town.
Overnight: Dassanech Village
In the morning, you will do photography with the Dassanech people and get an authentic cultural experience at Dassanech village. After lunch, drive 75 km to Turmi town.
Overnight: Paradise Lodge Turmi
Drive 180 km to Konso via Arbore. You will visit the Arbore tribe village and spend some quality time doing photography with the Arbore people. Continue to Konso via Woyto.
Overnight: Kanta Lodge Konso
In the morning, visit the Konso village which is a UNESCO world heritage site, and witness the amazing culture of the Konso people. Continue a 90 km drive to Arba Minch, and proceed to the Dorze village on a 1-hour drive one way. Finally, return back to Arba Minch.
Overnight: Hayle Resort Arba Minch
In the morning, you will go on a boat trip on Lake Chamo to see Hippos and the crocodile market where many crocodiles can be seen on a small island on the lake, and get transferred to the airport to fly to Addis Ababa.
